A Brush With Reality: Surprises in the Tube

In reading this essay, I was very shocked to know all of the different ingredients that went into making toothpaste. It definitely jars me every time I go to brush my teeth or go to the store to buy toothpaste. But I guess in reality, most of us still have to use it, contrary to what the author said about sometimes water can do just as good a job. I think just the feeling of our teeth being clean and fresh is enough to overcome our fear of what is really inside that little tube. The author was very descriptive as well with this essay.
